I am a tech savvy and music lover who loves to wrap his head around distributed systems and cloud-based microservice architectures, while applying (and learning!) techniques like TDD, BDD or DDD.
I have industry experience in Backend development, mostly using Python and some Node.JS and Golang. I am also learning Frontend, using React.JS.

At the moment, I work at HelloFresh a Backend Engineer. On the side, I do voluntary/freelance work at Searchwing. There, we build drones that help organizations rescue people in distress at the sea. Some of the projects that I did for Searchwing can be found in the Projects section.

Sofware Engineer - HelloFresh

Sep 2020 - Present

  • Work in an agile team of six engineers in charge of building backend services in the fulfillment domain
  • Write and design event-based microservices using Kafka, Python and PostgreSQL
  • Moderate internal tech-forums for knowledge sharing

Volunteer - Searchwing

Oct 2019 - Present

  • Design and development of the LogViewer app: A fullstack application that presents and manages drone timeseries data
  • Development of a calibration algorithm for drone motion sensors
  • Write software for the on-board computer

Prototype Fund 2023

As part of Searchwing, I participated in the 13th rund of the funding given by the German Ministry of Education. The objective of this project was improving the drone-fleet performance by developing a web-application that allows users to represent, visualize and analyse drone-flight data.
